This centenarian spent her milestone in prayers.
Her marriage to her husband who passed away in 1988 produced five children, all of whom are alive today. She worked in the rice field as a means of taking care of her children after her husband died.
Sookia currently has 19 grand children, 40 great grand children and 10 great, great grandchildren. This loving mother, who recently did house chores for herself resides with her daughter and son-in law at Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo.
She is a very good friend of Pandit Parmashwar Haimraj a/k Sohan. The Pandit would from time to time visit Sookia to spend time with her. They would sing bhajans and she would tell him about her life in the Cinderella County.
Sookia thanked God for her life and said that she is willing to go in his open arms whenever he calls.
