Thirty seven amateur boxers convened at the Andrew ‘Sixhead’ Lewis Boxing Gym yesterday midday and shortly afterwards were transported to GDF Camp Soweyo to intensify training activities in preparation for the 2nd Caribbean Goodwill Tournament dubbed ‘Back to the Future’, under the auspices of the Guyana Boxing Association (GBA) and scheduled to get underway here in Guyana from November 26-29.

President of the Guyana Boxing Association (GBA), Steve Ninvalle saw the boxers off but not before giving them a short talk. He reminded them that they were preparing for national duty and urged them to train diligently if they are to achieve their goals.
President Ninvalle also stressed the importance of discipline and warned the boxers that his executives will have a zero tolerance on issues of indiscipline. “Your coaches will be in charge of you and they are experts at what they do; your job is to work along with them and you can be assured that you will attain the best form ever,” exhorted Mr. Ninvalle.
