Sentinel Security Inc. supports RHTY&SC Tribute to Greatest Cricketers Prog.
Sentinel Security Inc., has now officially joined the National Sports Commission as
Sentinel’s Berbice Manger Priya Rampersaud hands over cheque
to the Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster in presence of Deryck Taylor
and Sandra Andrews of the company.
Co-sponsor of the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTY&SC) Tribute to its 25 Greatest Cricketers Programme, 1990 – 2015.
The programme is slated for Sunday October 25 next, Sentinel Regional Manager for Berbice handed over a cheque valued at $100,000 to club Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster at the company’s New Amsterdam office.
Foster in accepting the donation expressed gratitude to the Management of Sentinel, especially Managing Director Noreen Gaskin for their continued investment in the activities of the RHTY&SC.
Sentinel Security he noted sponsors the club’s annual Gregory Gaskin Memorial Berbice Sports Award and also co-sponsors the annual Christmas Charity programme organised by the club’s eight cricket teams.
The Security Company also supports their Say Yes To Education and No To Suicide campaign.
The 25 Greatest Cricketers Programme forms part of the club’s Silver Jubilee Anniversary celebrations. The players were selected by the general public and the club’s Cricket Development Committee based on performances for the club, Berbice, Guyana and the West Indies.
Discipline, loyalty to the club and their roles as positive role models were also traits that were looked at in arriving at the top 25. Heading the list is Assad Fudadin along with Royston Crandon, Neil Williams, James Fraser and Shemaine Campbelle.
Other cricketers to be honoured are Esuan Crandon, Khemraj Mahadeo, Renwick Batson, Ravi Narine, Inderpaul Mohan, Abdel Fudadin, Shawn Grant, Eon Hooper, Clinton Pestano, Jason Sinclair and Erva Giddings.
The RHTY&SC would also use the opportunity to honour its top 25 executive members and cricket officials for their service to Guyana’s leading youth and sports club organisation.
Several others donors have already came on board and they are Alistair Parris of Len’s Craft Optical, Dr. Jose Da Silva of Modern Optical Service, Vice President and Minister of Public Service Mr. Khemraj Ramjattan, Businessman Johnny Carpenter, Alfred Mentore of Lifetime Real Estate and Gafoors.
