US Visa Processing Systems restored

The U.S Embassy says that its Visa Processing Systems have been restored, with the possibility for persons who have been waiting for non-immigrant visas to make pick-ups today.
Persons who had applied for the non-immigrant visas – (temporary visit- holiday/tourist/student) and who were interviewed between June 08 and June 23, 2015, are being asked to visit the embassy located on Duke Street, Kingston.
According to the embassy in a statement yesterday, persons should not walk with their personal belongings to the Embassy but rather their ID card and the blue slip.
With regards to the Permanent visas or Immigrant visas, the embassy said that the pick-up times will be announced later.
“We deeply regret the inconvenience to travelers who are still waiting for their visas.”
The embassy said that those applicants who were approved for visa issuance and cannot make it today, are to make contact with its Visa Inquiries Unit via email to visageorge@state.gov to make alternative arrangements.
