The Guyana Tennis Association (GLTA) is collaborating with the Guyana Olympic

Association (GOA) to observe this year’s Olympic Day Celebrations with a promotional activity that celebrates the Olympic Movement for the sport of tennis.
This inaugural Tennis Olympiad and Fun Day will be held Sunday at the National Racquet Centre (Woolford Avenue & Camp Streets) from 10:00hrs to 15:00hrs. Racquets and balls will be provided and there will be free tennis lessons, special high-energy fun activities and competitions geared for all ages.
Members of the public who wish to pursue tennis as a recreational sport will have an opportunity to try out the sport, watch top players and beginners challenge each other, meet tennis coaches and join a club. The GTA hopes to attract at least 40 new participants to the sport.
