Digicel continues sponsorship of special needs organizations
In keeping with its pledge of assistance to special needs institutuions, Digicel paid a visit to another special needs school, making donations of computers, work stations, books and a sewing machine to the institution yesterday.
The Tuschen Deaf Academy yesterday benefitted from Digicel’s generosity, which is as a part of its eighth anniversary celebrations.
The Tuschen Deaf Academy caters for the hearing impaired. The students range in age from 13 to the oldest student who is 38.
It is run by Mr. Azim Bacchus, whose daughter is also hearing impaired.
Here, Gavin Hope, Events and Sponsorship Manager hands over a sewing machine to Mr. Azim Bacchus, Administrator of the school in presence of Ms. Evelyn Hamilton, Head of the Planning Department Ministry of Education. Looking on are students, teacher and Digicel staff.
