Bartica youth dies in motorcycle accident
A Bartica youth is now dead and his friend is nursing serious head injuries after they were involved in
The mangled bike
a motorbike collision Sunday night.
The incident allegedly occurred around 18:45pm. Dead is Alden Straker, a/k” Carley”. According to reports both Straker and Rodriguez were returning from a waterfall some four miles from Bartica when it was alleged that Straker and Rodriguez collided with each other.
Straker sustained a fractured skull while, 21-year-old, Gary Rodriguez suffered multiple lacerations to his face. He also sustained a fractured femur. He is currently receiving treatment at the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was transferred.
The mangled motorbikes were discovered by the police on the Bartica Potaro Road.
