when the Guyana National Rifle Association (GNRA) year-end Championships shoots off bringing together the best marksmen of the sport in Guyana.
The likes of reigning national champion, Ransford Goodluck, Caribbean individual champion Lennox Braithwaite, National Captain Mahendra Persaud, Dylan Fields and Leo Ramalho will battle in the league of the big boys, X-Class.
The O-Class will bring together among others, Peter Persaud, Sherwin Felicien, Chevlon Velloza and Terrance Stuart.
Competition today is anticipated to get cracking from at 11:00hrs with the competitors shooting 2×10 at 300 yards. They will then move to the 500 and 600 yards ranges before pulling the targets for the day.
Day two will be next Saturday when activity will be had at two ranges before the final day, Sunday when the final three ranges will be contested.
The title of national champion at the X and O Class levels will be on the line. There is no clear cut choice as to who will take the title given the form that has been displayed by the shooters at the Recorded Shoots over the past few weeks.
One thing is for sure; a riveting three days of shooting is anticipated, beginning today.
