2009 drinking spree murder trial opens in Berbice High Court
The trial of Dharampaul Gopaul called ‘Pauline Gulliver’, 47, of Side Line Dam, Port Mourant, Corentyne, got
Dharampaul Gopaul
underway when the Berbice Assizes opened yesterday. Gopaul is on trial before Justice James Bovell-Drakes and a mixed jury for the murder of Mukesh Gopaul, called ‘Muca’ on February 6, 2009 at 52, Side Line Dam, Port Mourant, Corentyne Berbice.
The Prosecutor is Attorney at Law Renita Singh while the defence is headed by Attorney at Law Kim Kyte John in association with Tanya Warren Clements.
After the indictment was read by the Prosecutor, the defence sought and was granted an adjournment until Monday.
