ECCB, H. Nauth & Sons Engineering 20/20 Competition…Several teams record victories in last weekend’s matches
Action in the East Coast Cricket Board (ECCB), H. Nauth & Sons Engineering, Contracting Services and Petrol Station 20/20 Competition continued last weekend with several matches.
In results from the matches are:
Upper East Coast Zone
Two matches were played at Helena 1-2 Ground.
Perseverance VS Bravados at Helena 1-2 Ground
Perseverance won the toss and batted first and made 150 for 6 from their allotted 20 overs. Ovid Richardson 33 3×4 2×6, Allistar Ifill 31 N/O 2×4 2×6 and David Dick 21 2×4; Bowling for Bravados, Earl Gilkes 4-0-24-3 led the way. Bravados in reply made 116 all out from 16.4 overs. Wazier Mohamed 20 1×4 1×6 and Keith Bovell 16 2×4. Bowling for Perseverance Allistar Ifill 3-0-12-3 and Shawn DeSouza 4-0-31-3. Perseverance won by 35 runs.
Match Two – Helena 1-2 VS Strathavon
Helena 1-2 won the toss and requested that Strathavon bat first. Strathavon made 151 from their 20 overs. Gobindram Hemraj 38 5×4 1×6 and Yaseer Bacchus 30 3×4. Bowling for Helena 1-2 Steve Chand 4-1-16-2 and Navin Persaud 4-0-24-2 were the main wicket takers. Helena 1-2 in reply made 111 for 7 from 20 overs. Chris Pitt 27 4×4 and Darshan Persaud 25 3×4 1×6. Bowling for Strathavon Steve Singh 4-1-12-3 and Quincy Holder 4-1-13-2 were among the wickets. Strathavon won by 46 runs.
Lower East Coast Zone
Two matches were slated for Lusignan Community Centre Ground.
Mon Repos (B) VS Buxton (B)
Mon Repos won by a walk over from Buxton (B).
Lusignan (B) VS Plaisance
Lusignan won the toss and batted first and made 115 all out from 19.4 overs, Soyoria Anandjit 24 4×4, Steve Allick 22 3×4 and Davanand Samaroo 21 3×4. Bowling for Plaisance, Andre Burnett had figures of 4-0-22-5 and Shawn Kemp 4-0-16-2. Plaisance in reply made 85 all out form 19.4 overs. Dante Williams 26 4×4. Bowling for Lusignan (B), Safraz Haniff had 2-5-0-14.3, Rajpaul Gopaul 4-1-12-2 and Vickram Ramessar 4-0-17-2. Lusignan won by 31 runs.
