– hands over prizes to Mother’s Day promotion winner
It was Jason Waddell who was named the winner when Laparkan concluded its Mother’s Day 2014 promotion. The lucky customer was on Thursday bestowed with his winnings which included among other things, a Kindle Fire HDX.
As part of an ongoing effort to better serve and give back to its customers and by extension the community, the shipping company facilitated the promotion through its courier/express GTPAK. Moreover, customers who shipped during the latter part of April and all of May were automatically entered into the promotion.
In the end, there was a random draw which saw Waddell being selected as the winner. He was on Thursday last presented with his winning package in the company’s Broad and Lombard Streets, Georgetown, lobby.
And in the quest to continue giving back to its customers for support over the years, Laparkan is advising customers that there have been some intriguing changes to aid their shipping and logistics comfort.
Based on information coming from the company, customers will be able to benefit from competitive air and ocean rates and a reduction in courier rates which became effective on June 9 last.
The reduction of the courier rates will translate to the first pound rate for the courier being reduced from US$16.50 to US$9.95. The rates for each additional pound will however, remain at US$3 and the US$1 for insurance charges per consignment continues to be applicable.
In addition to customers being able to access three flights weekly to fulfill their shipment needs, the company is also committed to offering free delivery around Georgetown.
Laparkan, established in 1983, is an international logistics solutions provider that offers quality air and ocean cargo services and money transfer. The company also offers complete Customs brokerage and logistics services to meet customers’ needs.
The company has long been known to offer its courier/express (GTPAK) and internet shopping services. With GTPAK, customers are given a FREE private mailbox (PMB) in the United States where they can make their purchases and ship to the US mailbox address. The goods are then shipped and delivered to the Customer in Guyana by Laparkan using three weekly flights.
For those customers who do not possess a credit card, Laparkan purchases the goods, ship, and deliver to the customer in Guyana. These services facilitate quicker access to goods for our customers.
Application for PMB can be done online at (http://gt-pak.com/) or by visiting the company’s office to complete a form.
With its network of more than 30 offices and over 500 employees in the Caribbean and North America, Laparkan is recognized as the reliable channel that connects the Caribbean globally.
