Trophy Stall, Banks DIH on board in a big way
Over 80 of the country’s top horses have taken entry for the Rising Sun Turf Club in collaboration with the People’s Progressive Party, one day Independence Cup horserace meet today at the Rising Sun Turf Club, Arima Park, West Coast Berbice.
With all the ingredients in place horserace fans are expected to throng to the venue to see some of Guyana’s Top Horses in action. Most fans will be eager to see the return clash between top horses, Score’s Even, Treacle, Got to Go and California Strike in the feature A and lower event. Will there be another upset or will Score Even continue its dominance.
The A class event has so far attracted some of the best horses in the country and apart from those mentioned the others will be looking for the win to take the top prize. Among the lot set to race are Score’s Even, Treacle, Got To Go, California Strike, Run Nana Run, Jack is My Style, Rock Movie Star and new import Toro Rosso among others will battle for the $1M first prize and the General Secretary trophy over 1400M.
The other events listed for the day are the race for horses classified D3 and lower for those that have not won in 2014 and those classified E and lower for a winning take of $500,000 and trophy over 1400M. Red and Lovely, Force Entry, Swing easy, Appealing Harvest, It’s My Turn, Run Nana Run, Work Force, Red cloud and Double mu Fortune.
A top class line up including Unsettled, Today is My Day, Shooting Star and Settling Jet have been entered for the Three year Guyana and West Indies Bred event for the top money of $400,000 and trophy over 1400M.
Incentive for the winner in the F1 and lower 1400M event is also worth $400,000 with Work Force, Appealing Harvest, Swing Easy, Red Cloud, Silent Night, Captain Crook, Princess Alisha, Cassie and Gold Majesty.
The G3 class 1100M race will see the winner taking away the $300,000 first prize and trophy with the likes of Damascus Dream, The Legend, Ameera’s Joy, Gold Majesty, No Body Wants Me, Release the beast, Miss Doubt Fire, Cassie, Wild Grinder, Quiet Storm, Flying baby and Prince page.
The race for animals classified ‘I’ and lower for the $200,000 top money and trophy over 1100M will see the likes of Savion, Easy To Win, Mary Ann, I Want Revenge, De Gump, Windy Killer and Iron man.
The J1 class horses 1100M sprint has a winner’s prize of $180,000 and trophy. Famous Pride, Iron man, Affinity, Dance for Gold, Swift way, Dem A watch me, Red Jet, De Gump, Little, Prince Bayaya, Natasha, Windy Killer, Smarty Light, Royal Cash and natural Mystic.
With so much on offer a scintillating and action pack day of racing is anticipated. The top individual performers will be presented with trophies compliments of Ramesh Sunich of Trophy Stall, Bourda market.
