A 15-year-old boy is the latest in the growing list of domestic murder victims in Guyana’s hinterland, having been stabbed to death in what is being described as a drunken row.
Police in a press statement said that they are investigating the murder of Winsley Peters, 15, of Bamboo Creek, North Pakaraimas, which occurred at about 21:00 hours on Monday at Bamboo Creek.
According to the police, Peters was involved in an argument with two men, during which he was allegedly stabbed to his chest.
He died without receiving medical attention.
The two men have been arrested and are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
