Lima Sands man injured in fight
A Lima Sands man is currently nursing a stab wound to his body after he was reportedly involved in an altercation with another young man of the same village. His condition has been listed as serious.
The incident reportedly occurred Easter Monday night at Lima Sands.
The injured man, who had to be rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital, was at a barbecue when an altercation ensued between he and the other guy, who remains in police custody.
Reports are that the injured guy allegedly pushed the other man.
The neighbourhood police officer said that she turned in her son to the police officer at the Anna Regina Police station and said her son is insisting he did not commit the offence.
Other reports have indicated that the neighbourhood police officer’s son was armed with a knife and he retaliated after he was hit by the man during an argument.
