Breaking news! KIDNAPPERS MURDER BUSINESSMAN, DUMP BODY IN CEMETERY
The four-day search for kidnapped businessman Rajendra Singh ended on a gruesome note at around 09.00 hrs today, when his body, bearing marks of violence, was found in Le Repentir Cemetery.
A City Council worker made the discovery while cleaning a section of the cemetery in preparations for burials. The police were then summoned.
The victim was wearing a jersey, boots and underwear. His pants were missing.
From all appearances, Singh was either strangled or his throat slit.
Singh, also called ‘Sunil,’ was kidnapped at gunpoint on Saturday from his Foulis, East Coast Demerara business place. The kidnappers had initially demanded $50M, but later reduced the ransom to $25M.
