GWI supervisor on bail for alleged sex with minor
A supervisor attached to Guyana Water Incorporated in Region Nine was on Monday brought before the courts to be indicted for allegedly having sex with a 15-year-old schoolgirl.
At the Lethem Magistrate’s Court, Christopher Gonsalves, 26, was charged for rape of a child before Magistrate Allan Wilson. He pleaded not guilty and was subsequently granted bail in the sum of $200,000.
Reports from that area indicate that the girl with whom he allegedly had sex is currently pregnant. The accused has since posted bail and is expected to return to court on June 2.
