Slippery bandit nabbed in Linden
After eluding capture, notorious bandit Julius Branker, 26, of Amelia’s Ward, Linden, was finally cornered and captured by police ranks.
He was wanted by police at Linden for a series of robberies and rape.
People in the community said that Branker was known to grease his body and this slip out of many a grasp as he is often seen only in his underwear.
The resident explained that around 06:30 hrs the slippery bandit put up a fight with the ranks to avoid arrest. “He even scuffled with one rank who had to be assisted by a resident.
A senior police source said that Branker was wanted for many offences, the recent occurring on February 15, when he was accused of break and enter and rape.
The police source also mentioned that Branker was released from prison late last year after he was freed on similar charges. However, this time most of the victims who suffered have been able to identify him.
