Gibbs attends cycling Coaching course in the USA
Former National Cyclist Dwayne ‘Road hogg’ Gibbs left these shores on Sunday for California in the United States of America to attend a five-day Cycling Coaching Course, scheduled from December 1-6.

The PAN AMERICAN Olympics Solidarity course will deal with BMX racing among other things and on the completion of the four-day event a Diploma will be issued and signed by the Presidents of PAN AM Olympics Solidarity and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) America.
The 38-year-old Gibbs is among the many top Guyanese riders to come through the NSC ‘Teach them Young’ BMX Camp which began in 1977 in the National Park under the watchful eyes of National Cycling Coach Hassan Mohamed.
Some of the others riders whose foundation came as a result of the programme were the Alonzo Greaves, Bertram James, Fiedtkou brothers- Noel and Marcus, Godfrey Pollydore, the late Troy Humphrey, Linden Dowridge, Eric Sankar, Warren McKay, Shane Boodram, , Geron Williams and Robin Persaud.
Now a Coach himself, Gibbs is expected to gain a wealth of knowledge from this course which is billed for Chula Vista in California. (Sean Devers)
