Fed up with the gutter politics of the regime

The type of gutter politics that the citizens of Guyana had to endure since 1992 is just too much to bear. They are totally fed-up of the PPP propaganda, distortions and untruths that are brought to the forefront especially as a minority government, they do not get want they want. After being in power for 21 years, the PPP cabal has become power drunk so much so that they still want to govern as if they have a majority. But when reality steps in, they complain like big babies and hark back to what they know best, that is they attempt to bully, threaten and attack their critics from the gutter.
Now they have become so desperate that they have engaged the Guyana Revenue Agency (GRA) and its head as pawns of their practices. Critics of the PPP cabal are told by the GRA that they owe millions of dollars in back taxes. This is a very dangerous precedent for the GRA because it would be seen as an arm of the PPP rather than being an independent organization, which should be its mandate.
And whilst the bunch of Jagdeoites keep fighting amongst themselves at Freedom House, little did they know that their main opponent is toiling day and night for victory and the people are listening because they are fed up with the PPP cabal who has done nothing to end corruption and remain clueless as to how to solve crime. Today, in the blink of an eye, someone is robbed and killed in their homes, their places of business at a club/bar enjoying a cocktail. We want the PPP regime especially the incompetent Minister of Home Affairs to know that this cannot continue because the people will not take it anymore.
The PPP is now a fallen party in that it has failed hundreds of thousands of people in this country including their own supporters in the sugar industry whose lives they have ruined. The US$238 million white elephant sugar factory at Skeldon which President Jagdeo promised to fix two years ago is still not working properly and he is nowhere to be seen.
The Enmore Sugar packaging plant which cost the taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars remain idle because there is no sugar to package. And this year, the yield of sugar will be at its lowest level in decades thus resulting in major losses of wages for the sugar workers who are barely surviving on their slave-like wages. Not to mention that the same PPP regime which has refused to pay the sugar workers decent wages is paying the Chairman of GUYSUCO who lives in the United States approximately US$25.000 per month in wages, travelling expenses and allowances to travel first-class to and from Guyana every month. When asked if someone in Guyana could not do the job for less, the PPP said “NO.” This is only one of the ways the PPP has kept the sugar workers poorer.
Our wish is for each citizen of Guyana to really think carefully about who they will vote for in the next general election. And if they think about themselves, their children’s future and what country they want for their children to live in, then they should not vote for the PPP which has nothing but corruption, crime and contempt for the rule of law to show for their tenure in office.
