The rains are hovering, but the dry conditions are enough to give rise to fires, and the elements would not disappoint. This fire would result in another home being damaged and some people being set back so bad that children would be forced to live with strangers.
The origin of the fire would be clear, a case of some burning material getting out of hand.

Speed is always a contributory factor in accidents, especially during the holidays when people drop inhibitions and resort to excessive alcohol intake. A group of young men is going to be caught up in the spirit of the season and the result would be a crash.
Already the hospital is overwhelmed with the spate of shooting and the like. This crash would simply add more pressure to the system.

Some men are on the hunt for a target identified by a drug dealer who feels that he has been robbed. The fact that the hunters are not involved except that they have been promised a sum of money is interesting.
