Why was Brigadier Lovell overlooked again?

Why does the Government keep doing this to the top ranking military officers of the Guyana Defence Force. I feel it for Brigadier J B Lovell. He was senior then to Commodore G A R Best (who was recently promoted to Rear Admiral) but was put aside by the then President Jagdeo and the Chief of staff appointment was given to Best, who was actually out of the military for a while studying law.
Now again Lovell was put aside by President Ramator and the Chief of Staff appointment given to Phillips who was junior to him. Only in Guyana these things happen. If Lovell has 20 more months, then let him serve as Chief of Staff and then let Phillips take over, I do not have a problem with Phillips, but let him wait his turn, this utter nonsense must stop.
Lovell deserves it he came through the rank and file of the Guyana Defence Force and waited his turn and did the Chief of Staff course, also other qualifying courses and is the senior man.
Then the President tried to hood wink people by promoting Phillips first. I am so upset, words cannot express my feelings.
Politics must be kept out of the military, it is destroying the very fabric of this organization. Shame, shame, shame. What goes around comes around.
