Cadet Officer on bail for theft
A 24-year-old Cadet Officer from the Guyana Police Force was yesterday released on $100,000 bail on allegations of theft.
Sherwin Kilkin, of Lot 193 Triumph Road, Ogle East Bank Demerara, is accused of stealing a $500,000 gold and diamond ring, and $15,000 from to his colleague, Ganesh Puran, on August 29, 2013.
The matter came up before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine Beharry, at the Georgetown Magistrates’ court, Kilkin denied the charge.
He was represented by Attorney- at- Law, Patrice Henry who made a successful application for bail.
