Lillian Louisa Houston celebrates 101 years of life
Centenarian Lillian Louisa Houston is celebrating her 101st birthday today with an intimate gathering of family members, close friends and members of her church.

The woman, who spent the greater part of her life in Kitty, now resides with her daughter, Eslyn Houston, and grandchildren in Sophia since her illnesses limit her mobility. Houston is said to have been a hardworking wife and mother, doing domestic work in order to sustain her family.
Houston is mother to 10 children, seven of whom are alive. The last reported count of her grandchildren amounted to 28; there are 82 great-grandchildren and 27 great-great grandchildren. Family members, however, strongly believe that the number has increased.
