The complainant was on the way to her 44 Public Road, Kitty residence when she received information about what was taking place there. Upon her arrival, she saw the defendant in her yard with a quantity of grillwork in a push cart. Bowman then apprehended the defendant with the assistance of other individuals. He was then taken to Kitty Police Station where he was held in custody. Investigations were carried out and as a result the defendant was charged for the said offence.
The defendant in his defence stated “Yuh Worship, I only tek away some of the iron, me ain’t know ‘bout the rest.”
Based on his explanation a guilty plea was entered.
Jeffrey, who appeared to fear the looming verdict, began to beg the court for mercy “Yuh worship I begging for another chance. This won’t happen again. I begging you yuh worship. Please, this would never happen again.”
Despite his appeals to the court, Jeffery was sent to prison for his misdeeds.
