– 15 entities bid for projects
The infrastructure at Providence (phase three), East Bank Demerara, will soon be the focus of a major overhaul.
Bids from 15 contractors were opened yesterday by the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board, Ministry of Finance, in relation to the construction of roads, drains, structures and installation of pure water distribution network in the aforementioned community.
The bids were divided into five lots and the engineers’ estimates were: Lot (1) $198,264,448; Lot (2) $173,077,425; Lot (3) $124,875,321; Lot (4) $234,983,586 and Lot (5) $101,461,800.
These projects fall under the Ministry of Housing and Water, and the bids submitted are as follows:
