The Mashabo Amerindian community has received a boat and a 75HP engine from the Stoner Family, which continues to provide humanitarian aids to the vulnerable.
Last year, the America-based Stoners, in collaboration with Food For the Poor, constructed 50 homes in the Community. The Village has since adopted the name Hosanna.
The boat was handed over by project coordinator for FFTP, Ms. Andrea Joseph. Receiving the boat which will be used to transport both Primary and Secondary School children and also a teacher who travels from the Coast daily was Headmaster of the Mashabo Primary School, Quado Vancooten.
Vancooten, who expressed his gratitude to FFTP and the Stoner family, said that the Community has received a wonderful gift.
The Community has also benefited in the form of a recreational facility and support in the agriculture sector, compliments of the Stoner Family.
