Cricket Umpires Classes at DCC
The Georgetown Cricket Umpires & Scorers Association (GCU&SA) wishes to inform the general public, particularity the cricket fraternity, that Cricket Umpire Classes for this year commenced yesterday at Demerara Cricket Club (DCC), Lance Gibbs Street, Georgetown
Classes will continue every Tuesday and Thursday from 17:00 hours to 19:00hrs and is scheduled to be concluded on Tuesday July 31. All interested persons are invited to attend. Registration fee $ 500.
These classes are not only for umpires and aspiring umpires, but cricket administrators, captains, coaches, cricketers, sports journalists, and cricket enthusiast who can attend these classes and acquaint themselves with the LAWS OF CRICKET.
The Facilitators/Lecturers from the Training & Examination Committee from the GCU&SA will be Nigel Duguid (Chairman – Member of ICC International Umpires Panel), Edward Nichols (Ex Test Umpire), Colin Alfred (First Class Umpire and Member WICB Emerging Umpires Panel) and Shannon Crawford (Member of WICB Emerging Umpires Panel).
