knock-out football extravaganza two more entities have chipped in to lend a financial hand in making this year’s tournament another success.
Ground Structural Engineering, which has been on board for the past four years re-committed to another year of partnership with the tournament. This year they have agreed to sponsor the 4th place prize of $300,000. At the simple presentation, it was noted that Ground Structural Engineering was very pleased with the way the tournament has been administered over the years and they had no qualms in being associated yet again. The entity has made a promise to remain sponsors for future tournaments.
Also coming on board was E.A Health and Wellness Center of Queen Street, Kitty which has made a contribution that will be made to the oldest and youngest players in the tournament.
Head of the entity Dr. Joseph Haynes noted his pleasure in being a part of the tournament which he said has brought joy to thousands of Guyanese at the end of the year.
Dr. Haynes, wished all the teams success while Co-Director of the K&S Organisation, Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major expressed gratitude to both entities for the confidence they have shown in the tournament with their tangible support.
The tournament is set to kick off tomorrow at the GCC Ground Bourda with a double header and the official opening ceremony.
Mill Ballers of Bartica and East Bank Demerara’s Kuru Kururu Lions will square off in the first game starting at 17:30hrs. The official opening ceremony will be held after this game with the feature clash between Pele and another East Bank team, Timehri Panthers.
