A male Canadian citizen is under police guard at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation after being nabbed at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport with 903 grammes of cocaine concealed in pellets and hidden in his luggage.
A police release stated that the suspect, who was an outgoing passenger, was arrested at around 08:20 hrs yesterday by ranks of the Police Narcotics Branch.
Investigators suspect that he may have ingested a quantity of the pellets and have placed him under guard at the GPHC.
