Two drug dealers busted at Wakenaam
Two young men of Maria’s Pleasure, Wakenaam, were stopped and searched by a party of police men, headed by Sergeant Dennis Clarke, shortly before 3 o’clock Friday afternoon after they disembarked a speedboat plying the Parika-Wakenaam route. A quantity of illegal substance was found on them.
One of the men had been under surveillance by the police for a long time but had been able to evade searches because they were being tipped off.
Residents have expressed their satisfaction with the arrest. They said that they were fed up with the spread of drugs on the island.
