Eunice Kennedy Shriver Day celebration set for September 24
The annual celebration of Eunice Kennedy Shriver Day will be commemorated globally on September 24 as Special Olympics Programmes will be held in memory of her life.
This special occasion will be a global call, challenging everyone to “Play Unified To Live Unified”.
Guyana will be celebrating the remembrance of this special day at the National Gymnasium on September 23 from 09:30hrs.Guyana’s Special Olympics will be launching Unified Sports as athletes of Special Needs School East Bank Demerara and Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre will be demonstrating both Unified Bocce and Football skill in the National Gymnasium to the spectators.
Special Schools as well as volunteers and the general public are invited to attend the event.
