The Milerock FC last Thursday concluded their Summer Camp for Under-17 players with a talk held at the Bayrock Community Centre ground.
In a release from the club it was stated that the club’s future players were given a brief talk by Head Teacher of the Christianburg/ Wismar Secondary School Mr. Cleveland Thomas who spoke of how sport can benefit them during their school career.
He told them about the dangers of drugs and what being disciplined youths could bring them in their future careers.
They all listened attentively as coach Claude Williams conducted the final sessions with them at the ground where they use as their home turf presently.
Milerock is one of Linden’s top clubs and represented Guyana earlier this year after finishing number two in the National Football Club Championship last year. By playing in the CFU Club championship Milerock became the first Linden team to play in the second round where they were beaten by Trinidad and Tobago’s Defence Force after knocking out Suriname’s Inter Moengatope in the first round of the home-and-away championship.
