The 2nd Annual Senior Elite Training Programme organised by the Special Events Committee of the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) is set to bowl off tomorrow at the Albion Community Centre. A total of 37 cricketers selected by the BCB’s Selection Committee headed by Mark Lyte would be part of the programme.
Special Events Committee Chairman, Hilbert Foster, disclosed that Senior Coaches Adrian Amsterdam and Julian Moore would be in charge of the Programme with the main aim of getting players ready both physically and mentally to represent Berbice in the upcoming Twenty/20, 50 overs and 4-day tournaments.
Training would be conducted on Wednesdays from 15:00hrs to 18:00hrs and on Sundays from 13:00hrs to 16:00hrs. Players are asked to be attired in suitable training uniform and to walk along with their cricket equipment. Foster also stated that the players as part of their commitment to Berbice cricket would be required to stand the cost of transportation to the Albion Ground.
The following players are requested to report to the Albion Ground today by 14:45hrs.
