The AFC must join coalition to see change in Guyana
Dear Editor,
The Alliance for Change (AFC) cannot continue to play hopeful politics with the people of this nation. We are at a critical juncture where change is imminent if the correct approach is adopted.
Nothing, I say, absolutely nothing must stand in the way, of seeing change come to Guyana in 2011. The AFC owes the people its commitment to get with the programme and be a part of the coalition to see the end of the PPP. Nothing more nothing less!
Mr. Editor, I have, on these very pages, castigated the PNCR and have called for the resignation of Robert Corbin. I have no regrets, since my call was made at a period when that party and its leadership seemed inactive and uncaring in its mandate to confront elected dictatorship.
It would therefore be most bias of me not to recognise any important and significant transformation by that party and acknowledge its importance within the context of its preparation to genuinely put the interest of Guyana first.
The AFC must not think that history will be kind if it disregards this historic moment of coming together for the common purpose to bring change to a battered and bruised people crying out for change.
