The Alliance for Change yesterday denounced, “in the strongest possible terms”, the suspicious movements outside the office of AFC parliamentarian David Patterson.
The party described the people outside the office as “dubious and shady characters.”
The party stated that on Tuesday at approximately 13:00hrs, two persons, one of whom members identified as David Williams was seen photographing Patterson’s office at D’Urban Backlands.
“David Williams, it should be noted, was the ringleader of the paid group of protestors who were on two occasions assembled outside the AFC’s office in Campbellville…He was apparently appareled with media pass.”
Williams was also observed at the AFC Action Plan and Campaign launch at the Ocean View Convention Centre at the end of January.
“Because of the threat the AFC poses to the present oppressive political regime, it is understood why this alarmed cabal would be attempting to gather intelligence on the AFC…Meanwhile, the AFC is advancing undeterred with its vibrant programme to change Guyana.”
But the pattern of photographing people’s homes began long before the visit to Patterson’s home. Last week two men went to the home of Kaieteur News Editor in Chief Adam Harris and photographed the property. Harris said that he simply ignored what seemed a move to terrorise him.
