Joseph ‘Reds’ Perreira yesterday presented five (5) copies of his book ‘Living my dream’ to the Chief Librarian of the National Library, Gillian Thompson while CEO of the National Library Board Petamber Persaud lauded the 71-year-old Guyanese for his contribution.
Pereira said he wanted his book to be available in the rural areas resulting in him adding 5 more books to the Library after presenting one on a previous occasion.
The book is not a cricket book but a chronicle of his life and its struggles. Reds explained that his book tells of how he overcame a serious stuttering problem and much later a life-threatening stroke in Australia to continue his active involvement in Sports broadcasting.
He will be available to autograph his books for customers today from 09:00hrs to 11:00hrs at Oasis Café and from 11:00hrs to 14:00hrs at the Austin Book Store in Georgetown.
