I am back and not happy at all because the conditions have not changed not one inch since I was last with you. The madness continues and death still stalks the land.
The gunmen have, in fact, become more brazen and more desperate. They are going after targets that have precious little to offer because they must have money.
What has changed is the response by people and the police. Increasingly they will catch the perpetrators of the violent crimes. The Berbice police are going to arrest two gunmen who would make the mistake of attacking a house while the patrol is in the vicinity.

Road accidents are going to continue unabated because drivers have become more careless. The new ones are not helping the situation. One driver is going to force another to drive into a canal with near fatal consequences.
What is frightening is the errant driver’s reaction to the police. He is going to be nonchalant because he would boast of his connections. This is going to spark a media event.

Another fire is going to break out along the eastern corridor. The cause would be a careless spark that would catch a pile of clothing. The absence of a fire tender would influence the disaster. The best efforts of neighbours would only be so much. Nothing has changed since I was last here.
