After extensive renovations at the Post Office at Meten-meer-zorg, West Coast Demerara, the entity is now functioning on a normal basis.
According to Guyana Post Office Corporation (GPOC) Public Relations Officer, Yolaskee Jervis, the repair works that were done at the office by an external contractor included changing the entire roof, fixing the fence and painting of the interior and exterior of the building among other things.
She further said the GPOC is committed to its mandate to repair as many of its offices as soon as it is financially feasible to ensure the comfort of its customers and staff members.
Plans are afoot for extensive repairs to be done to the Mabaruma Post Office.
