A 52-year-old man is missing and feared dead following a boat collision in the Essequibo River at around 18:30 hrs on Wednesday.
The missing man has been identified as Hammond Hing called ‘Chinee’, of Waraeena, Upper Bonasika Creek.
A police press release stated that Hing was in a paddle boat near Bonasika Creek when a boat, powered by a 75 horsepower outboard engine, collided with his vessel.
Hing has not been located and a search is being conducted, while investigations into the mishap are continuing.
