BFA league continues
Competition in the Bartica Football Association League tournament continued over last weekend with several matches, while more play is set for this weekend with Lazio FC tackling River’s View FC in a fight to stay in the top four at the end of the first round.
Meanwhile, last Sunday a double header in the mining town saw Rising Stars FC defeating Lazio FC 4-1 in a hard battle. Scoring for the winners were Trevon Christian in the 15 and 78 minutes, Alan Wilson in the 20th and Georgeno Treveden in the 60th. The lone goal for Lazio came off the boot of Ron Jones in the 65th minute.
The second game saw Beacons FC hammering River’s View FC 7-2. Whitney Welcome had a hat-trick, scoring in the 2nd, 17th and 23rd minutes, Delon Welch in the 29th, 33rd, Deon Roberts in the 10th and Clint Kelmond in the 50th were on target for Beacons. Aloysius Edwards scored in the 48th and 70th minutes for River’s View.
