Lusignan, Enterprise record victories in Rockaway Auto Sales ECCB competition

Play in the East Coast Cricket Board Rockaway Auto Sales sponsored Super League Cricket competition opened over last weekend with several matches despite rain interrupting others.
Lusignan and Enterprise recorded impressive victories in second round matches as Rajendra Chandrika slammed a century and Kumar Bishundial and Harrinarine Hira hit half centuries.
In results from the matches played:
Calcutta defeated Helena 1& 2 in their encounter by 6 wickets. Helena made 70 all out in 17.3 overs with Chanderpaul Budram making 15. Bowling for Calcutta Daniels took 2 for 15 off 5 overs and Sealey 3 for 10 off 4 overs. Calcutta replied with 72 for 4 off 11 overs with Daniels hitting 23. Bowling for Helena Simon Singh took 2 for 11 off 3 overs.
Marshon lost to Golden Grove by 4 wickets. Marshon made 132 all out in 23 overs with Raymond Singh 49 and Alex Outar 29. Bowling for Golden Grove, Orin Gardener took 3 for 22 off 4 overs and Terrance King 4 for 11 off 4 overs.
Golden Grove reached the required total, 133 for 6 off 14 overs with Charles Anderson 29 and Terrance Corriea 23. Bowling for Marshon David Mangal took 2 for 31 off 3 overs and Krishna Alex 2 for 26 off 4 overs.
Buxton ‘B’ lost to Mon Repos in their scheduled game, while rain affected the other first round games.
Meanwhile, second round action produced some outstanding performances.
Lusignan ‘A’ overcame Plaisance who won toss an elected to field. Lusignan rattled up 240 for 9 off 34 overs with Kumar Bishundial slamming 58 and Harrinarine Hira 51. Bowling for Plaisance, Phillip Adams was their best performer with 1 for 26 off 5 overs.
Plaisance in reply were restricted to 155 for 8 off 29 overs. Collin McPherson scored 35.
Bowling for Lusignan – Prakash Ganpat took 2 for 23 off 7 overs and Kumar Bishundial returned with the ball with 2 for 16 off 7 overs.
And Enterprise romped past LBI by 73 runs. Enterprise won toss and batted and reached a competitive 211 for 6 off 35 overs with Rajendra Chandrika hammering 115 which included 11*4, 2*6. Rohan Mangal supported with 30 not out.
LBI innings folded to 138 all out off 33.3 overs. K. Jaikarran 23 and Y. Bishun 22 were the top scorers. Bowling for Enterprise Zaheer Mohamed grabbed 3 for 27 off 7 overs and Colin Sobers 3 for 33 off 6 overs.
