The tournament was sponsored by Vish Trading Inc. of La Ressouvenir, East Coast Demerara in honour of their last Managing Director Parbhudial “Speedy” Ramdial who was an ardent golf fan.
Brian Hackett, Secretary of the Lusignan Golf Club, said “Speedy” was always willing to support golf locally so when the company was approached to sponsor a tournament in his honour the current management readily agreed.
Director of Vish Trading Nandalall Ramdial presented the prizes to the outstanding players.
Meanwhile, Guyana’s golfers excelled during their recent trip to neighbouring Paramaribo for the Suriname Open championships.
