I pray for that innocent child
Dear Editor,
I am very disturbed, angry and sick after reading the article in your Wednesday edition (June 30) about a handicapped child being sexually molested by a 62-yr old male companion of her grandmother. This act is despicable and needs to be dealt with immediately.
If this individual is proven to have been molesting this child he must be thrown in jail and the grandmother should be held equally accountable.
I believe the entire story as related by the girl’s sister, that this was going on for a very long time.
I cannot imagine why this child was placed in her grandmother’s custody after what happened to her earlier in life at the hands of relatives. I am really and truly disturbed about this and something has to be done.
Thank you for publishing this article and shedding light on this issue, and for getting the authorities involved.
I pray and hope that this innocent child will never have to go through this again in her life. I hope that the government can find a good and loving caregiver and/or home for her.
