Dear Editor,
I am somewhat confused over the article in SN of 22/06 on the Mabaruma Hospital (courtesy of GINA). The press release failed to mention that:-
a) the new structure hosts less patients than the previous building;
b) males are happy to be hospitalised because they can see everything that goes on in the female section of the ward without having to pay for the show;
c) there was not a nurse on duty at the hospital on Father’s Night despite there being 23 patients in the institution;
d) petty contractors are still being pulled in to correct major faulty works on the building. This mess was left by previous contractors who were paid handsome amounts. Slap bam, thank you ma’am! Resident
