“As a company we were very optimistic that we would win the promotion. When we got the news that we had won, all the staff were very ecstatic that day. Even though I had no prior experience in designing something like this, with help from the staff, we were able to pull it off. I would like to thank Pepsi & DDL, as well as the entire staff of Bounty Meat Centre, Regent Street branch, for making it possible for us to travel to Barbados for the Twenty20 Cricket Final,” Hintzen commented.
DDL’s Marketing Director, Sharda Veeren-Chand, stated that “To spread the ICC Twenty 20 cricket spirit, Pepsi and DDL held a number of promotions throughout the cricket season. Prizes, inclusive of tickets to see the cricket games locally, were given away.”
The competition was also an opportunity for Pepsi and DDL to reward retailers and consumers for their loyalty to Pepsi over the years and to afford them the opportunity to participate in the regional sport, cricket.
She added that, “Pepsi and DDL will continue to sponsor great events like the ICC World Twenty 20 cricket and to give persons the opportunity to be part of these and win great prizes. We thank the retailers and consumers for their overwhelming support and participation in these promotions.”
