Guyanese cricketers continue to impress in Trinidad’s 2010 domestic season, Elton Baker top-scoring with 79 and taking 5-32 to take the Man-of-the-Match award over the weekend playing for Rousillac United against Victoria Sports Club.

Victoria batted first and made 213 all out with former Trinidad and Tobago player Anterior Dan rage making 87.with Baker picking up his 3rd five-wicket haul in the computation. Fellow Guyanese Travis Blyden supported with 2/19 with his leg-spin.
When Rousillac batted, they secured first innings points by making 233 with Baker smashing 5 fours and 3 sixes in his 79. Batting a second time, Victoria were bowled out for 180 leaving Rousillac to make 155 to win. They reached the target only losing 6 wickets with Blyden making 32 and Baker 40.
Rousillac United have one more game to play this weekend and last weekend’s success ensured they moved from 7th to 5th in the points standings, putting them in a good position to stay in the national league for next year and avoid relegation.
