Khan guides Rising Star to victory
Aseeb Khan stroked a well composed half century as Rising Star defeated Rebel SC by 31 runs as play in the P&P Insurance Brokers 40-over cricket competition continued recently in Leguan.
At Green’s Park, Rising Star batted first and scored 215 all out off their allotted overs. Aseeb Khan led with 95 (5×4, 2×6) while Tatteshwar Chetram supported with 36 as Ulain Ali took 3-35 and Parmanand Jagdeo 2-27.
Rebel in reply made 184 all out in 31 overs. Suresh Roop top scored with 40 and Raymond Nandram, contributed 24. Ikquas Ayube grabbed 2-21 while Verendra Chintamanie bagged 2-12 and Khan 2-38 for the winners.
The competition continues on Sunday with Satro facing Rising Star at Whyte’s Park and Blenhim United taking on Rebel at Green’s Park.
