Team Vieira mechanics seen putting in the finishing touch to one of the wheels at the Team’s garage yesterday.
– Team confident of retaining crown
“Mark Vieira is back and as we speak right now the car in the kind of shape that will make it unbeatable come next Sunday,” were the words of a source close to the Vieira Team who spoke to Kaieteur Sport at the Team’s garage on Saffon Street yesterday.
Vieira, who will be driving a Mazda RX8 with a brand new 20B Rotary engine was absent for almost one year due to mechanical problems, but according to the source all that has been sorted out now and fans could expect a ruthless display from the former ‘King of South Dakota’ as he seek to reclaim his monarchy from the veteran Andrew King. The source added that they’ve been working on the machine for sometime now and Vieira did have the opportunity to get in some valuable seat time during the off-season.
He said the team is confident of doing well at the season opening Meet and they will be going all out to reclaim their fans.
