Lethem police nab Brazilian cop killer
Police in the Rupununi have 19-year-old William DaSilva in custody bringing an end to a pursuit for at least one member of a group that killed a Brazilian policeman in 2007.
In that year three men killed a Brazilian policeman by slashing his throat. They then took his weapon and fled.
Da Silva managed to elude capture until yesterday when the Brazilians tracked him to Lethem.
Last night he was in the Lethem Police Station awaiting extradition to Brazil.
