Dear Editor,
I respond to a letter entitled, “Freddie Kissoon responds to IAC” published in Sunday Kaieteur dated January 31, 2010.
I agree with Mr. Kissoon that politicians usually take over events and make them a political venue. However I want Guyanese to know that politician are also humans and they have equal rights to make any contribution to any organisation.
Mr. Kissoon pointed out in his letter that East Indians will continue to migrate unless they make a psychic break from the PPP. It is evident in any society that migration occurs and I am wondering if it is politics that make the entire world wanting to go to North America.
Mr. Kissoon should understand by now that the 30% of East Indians living in Guyana are ready to see a change in politics but where would they put their ‘X’.
The PPP is not effective, the PNC is not competent, the AFC is less competent and the other parties are mere a political slot.
East Indians will vote for a change if Mr. Kissoon fill those void and tell Guyanese where he stands since he as a political lecturer and has tremendous knowledge of Guyana’s political system and can make the change in Guyana.
So please Mr. Kissoon as you rightfully said you have nothing against East Indians so fill the void that these political parties created and tell Guyana where you would join in so that people will cease migrating and some may re-migrate to support you as an emerging political guru. Derrick Persaud
